LAVERTON YOUTH FOUNDATION
Laverton Youth Foundation is a not-for-profit service for young people in Hobsons Bay and Wyndham. Laverton Youth Foundation was the first Youth Foundation site to be set up and was established in 2007 by the Bendigo Community Bank branches in Altona, Laverton/ Altona Meadows, and Point Cook along with the Victorian Government’s Office for Youth.
The project works in partnership with local organizations and businesses to provide free activities for disadvantaged and disengaged young people aged 12 – 25, providing a safe space to learn, grow, and have fun. Our aim is to make a real difference in the lives of local young people in the Hobson’s Bay and Wyndham communities by increasing the number of opportunities available to them to become actively involved.
The youth-led projects that we run help to grow young people’s connections within their local community, increase skills and employment opportunities and reduce social isolation
