Laverton Youth Foundation Programs
The youth-led projects that we run help to grow young people’s connections within their local community, increase skills and employment opportunities and reduce social isolation
Laverton Youth Foundation offers free 8week cooking courses for young people aged 15 – 25years, where participants will learn to cook some delicious meals for their families. Classes are currently being run on Zoom, with ingredients being dropped off to participants homes each week.
Participants will receive a pack, delivered contact-free to their door at the start of the program, that contains all the utensils they will require for the cooking program each week, including their own set of knives, chopping boards, kitchen utensils, apron and fire blanket. Finally, each participant will gain Accredited Unit ‘Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety’ and Barista Level 1
