At the start of 1974 the Laverton Community Centre & Neighbourhood House was established by the Laverton Rotary Club, who moved a 3-bedroom house from Aviation Road to 12 Crown Street, to become what is now known as the Laverton Community Education Centre. From here the organisation has grown to meet the needs of the local community adapting to provide key services; Laverton Community Childrens Centre, Laverton Community Education Centre, Laverton Community Centre (Emergency Relief and Crisis Intervention Service) Youth services (Youth Foundation and L2P).

LCIS is a not-for-profit entity that received DGR status in 2005 making all donations over $2 tax exempt gifts.

Laverton Community Education Centre

The Laverton Community Education Centre’s Bursary fund is for Asylum Seekers and students on Bridging Visa’s who are ineligible Government funded training. Without additional support they cannot access the training they need to start working life in Australia and achieve real independence.

Emergency Relief

Laverton Community Centre Emergency Relief funds are used to provide nutritious food options to the most vulnerable people across Hobsons Bay

Donate towards the cost of educational resources ensuring that we can continue with our immersive educational programs that extend children learning every step of the way.

Laverton Community Youth Services

The youth programs across LCIS include the Youth Foundation, L2P and the online youth forum ‘The Spot’. All of these programs are to support disadvantaged young people as they set themselves up for their best future.
