Road to Independence
The Road to Independence Program helps community members gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to obtain their driver’s licence. Having a licence is more than just being able to drive — it opens the door to employment opportunities, further education, independence, and stronger community participation.
Through the program, participants can access:
- Free driving lessons with professional instructors
- Free driving lessons with volunteer mentors
- Guidance and support through the licensing process
This program is designed to remove the barriers faced by many adults who want to get their licence but are unable to do so because of financial hardship or lack of access to a vehicle and supervising driver.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate, you must:
Be 23 years or older
Have no access to a vehicle or supervising driver
