Laverton Community Children Centre was established in 2000 as a not-for-profit community organisation under Laverton Community Integrated Services. In 2006, the current building became a joint project between Department of Health and Human Services, Hobsons Bay City Council and Laverton Community Integrated Services to address community needs.

We are conveniently located directly across from the Laverton Train station, at the rear of the Laverton Community Hub. LCCC is open Monday – Friday 7.00am – 6.30pm.

LCCC delivers programs for babies from 6 weeks old through to school age children including;

  • Long Daycare
  • 3 Year old Kindergarden
  • 4 Year old Kindergarden
  • Alternative Care
  • School Holiday Programs

As part of our commitment to our local community we also offer facilities for other exceptional programs such as;

  • Other specialist services.

LCCC prides itself on delivering high quality, educative programs for children and families. We work with families to provide educational opportunities for the children that are reflective and sensitive to our culturally diverse community.

At LCCC we maintain exceeding standards within the National Quality Standard (NQS). ACECQA sets a high national benchmark for early childhood education and care and outside school hours care services in Australia.

The National Quality Framework (NQF) is the overarching learning curriculum that validates the methods used to enhance each individual child’s learning – our results speak for themselves!

Laverton Community Children’s Centre is an inclusive centre that appreciates and respects all groups and cultures and incorporates learning and activities for children to grow in their knowledge of diversity.

Our Team

We respect our Early Childhood Educators as professionals that provide children with rich learning opportunities whilst embracing the richness and diversity that makes up the families and our community.

LCCC welcomes continuous improvement for both the Centre and the Early Childhood professionals within it. The team at LCCC has extensive experience and knowledge and we respect these qualities by providing ongoing professional learning that support current research and best practice methodologies.

Our team is representative of the diverse community we are located in. Cumulatively they speak more 15 Languages and come from 35 Countries across the globe.

We also actively support the childcare industry workforce through our collaboration with Laverton Community Education Centre which delivers Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care on-site. This unique partnership offers students opportunities for direct observations, workplace experiences and work placement opportunities

LCCC Manager

Donna Goetz (photo to come)

Donna is the centre Manager; she has worked in Children’s Services for over 20 years. Her experience includes roles as Management of Inclusion Support Services, Authorised Officer for the Department of Education and Training, Senior Regional Manager for a large Children’s service along with several other managerial roles.

She remains a passionate advocate for Children and their rights whilst supporting families and the community.
