The journey of continuous improvement within education and care programs was validated for the educators, teachers, families and children at Laverton Community Children’s Centre recently. The service was assessed over 2 days in relation to the implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan which describes the elements and areas relating to the National Framework and National Quality Standards. The stories shared and told by educators and children to the assessor on the days described the teamwork, the shared vision of all children’s entitlement to quality services and programs and a dedicated approach to the wellbeing and education of infants through to preschool aged children. Our programs provide the foundation for positive learning outcomes for children in their early years but also provide the tools for children to enjoy and be challenged by learning and education in later years.
LCCC educators have worked tirelessly over 7 years to embed practices that promote positive and secure attachments with infants and young babies. Support children in the context of their families, neighbourhoods and communities. Develop partnerships with families so they feel empowered and can share in the educational journey of their child. Educators have also successfully undertaken and attained higher early childhood qualifications to continue to meet the challenges of the industry and to promote the need for high quality educational and care services.
After a rigorous assessment LCCC has been awarded the rating of ‘EXCEEDING’ across all 7 quality areas. This demonstrates that the service is committed to the continued delivery of high quality educational and care programs to all families and children within Laverton and surrounding communities. It is our great pleasure to work alongside this vibrant community. It is our privilege to be part of children’s learning.
