Long Day Care

Long Day Care

These are permanently booked days, offered between Monday and Friday, between 7am – 6.30pm. Long Day Care is offered on a full time or part time basis.

The fee is charged for the entire session. Families are encouraged to utilise the hours to assist children with settling and receiving the most benefit from the available program. All fees are charged one week in advance at all times.

What to bring to Long Day Care

Families are encouraged to talk with staff about what to bring each day.  This is often determined by the child’s age and independence level.  Each child has an allocated locker when they attend.

Nappies and Wipes

The Centre provides nappies and wipes for babies and children that are not yet independently toileting. If your child has sensitive skin we encourage you to bring your own nappies, wipes and creams.

Spare Clothing

Sometimes children have accidents or become wet or soiled during play; therefore we encourage parents to place some extra items of clothing in the child’s bag. As we are an accredited Sun Smart service all children must have a wide brimmed or legionnaires hat for outdoor play.

Babies Room 1 & 2

Both rooms offer care for children aged between 6 weeks – 2 ½ years. We offer an educational program that enables all children to experience and develop their skills such as; cognitive, physical, and fine motor and social/emotional. We have a structured routine each day that allows children to feel comfortable in their environment. Children are encouraged to bring along their own water cup and bottles/formula they might need.  Children have access to quiet and active areas throughout the day.  Children’s routines are individually developed in partnership with families to reflect the home environment where possible.

Rooms 3, 4 & 5

Rooms 3, 4 & 5 offer care to children aged 2.5 years – 6 years. With these rooms offering predominately Indoor/Outdoor programmes children often share experiences and routines from all rooms and many children have siblings in adjoining rooms that they can visit and share their day with.

Children in these rooms have access to the extended hours Kindergarten program. Rooms 3, 4 & 5 promote and develop programs which are environmentally conscious, with both recycling and a vegetable patch program offered throughout the year.  Activities and experiences are developed in partnership with children and families.
